The school had good reputation about 30 years back when Mrs keelor was the principal but now , it’s gone in the drain . The school claims that it comes on the 10th position in india , which is a lie , it’s not even in the top 20schools of india . La Martiniere Calcutta is the one which bags the top 10 place in india and not the Lucknow one . Teachers are rude and are extremely disrespectful towards the parents , I’m shocked that with so many laws in india there isn’t any police complaints lodged against the teachers who think they can talk the way they want with the parents aswell as the children . Their pedagogy method is 0 and the teachers as well as the school isn’t ready to adopt the new teaching methodology . Children are given more than half of the school work to be completed at home . They don’t care about not burdening the child at home . The schools become Pathetic I would say . If the parents complain to the school principal they are told to take a TC and withdraw their children from school . It’s not a colonial india anymore the school should understand that and they need to be polite to the parents and escalate the complaints rather than brining the reputation of the school down . Many people have started withdrawing their children from la martiniere and admitting them in schools which care for them . The parents of the children in La Martiniere need to take strict action against the teachers who think the world of themselves and are ill mannered and mock at their kids in class and try to bring the kids self esteem low .

It's a good and a well-managed school. I won't say it's under the top 10 schools in India but definitely under top 100. Their principal is really good and I personally like such people. Few things need improvement, some teachers are not good. Rest everything is good. I recommend this school but pls take a strict check on your child activities and education and once you realise this school is not for her, immediately move ahead to another school.

I was invited as the chief guest to distribute prizes . Saw a documentary on the last year’s activities . What was most amazing for me , apart from the excellence in academics and all co- curricular activities , was the enthusiasm of the students while cheering the staff members . One could see the love for teachers , administrative and technical staff in equal measure .

Great school. Best part is that they don't say to make and bring craft items from home. Teachers take pain & help child to make it in school. Their motto is to develop an individual who along with academics also has good personality. Sports and other activities are equally part of their schooling. Teachers are humble. I'm satisfied for my daughter's studies and grooming.

It's as good as this- a colleague left to get married, went to another city for a job. The head looked at the cv and gave her a job right away! I'm not a teacher she said, the head insisted and she began teaching grade 3! Her new boss was alumni of La Martiniere!
